Apple Intelligence Comes to India — Siri Overhaul Lands on iOS 19
Apple's on-device AI suite finally launches in India and 40 additional markets, with a revamped Siri capable of app-level actions and personal context.
Apple Intelligence — Apple's suite of on-device and server-side AI features — launched in India with the release of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, and macOS 16, bringing the full set of AI capabilities to one of Apple's fastest-growing markets. India was notably absent from the initial Apple Intelligence rollout in late 2024, making this a significant expansion.
The centerpiece is a substantially rebuilt Siri that can perform app-level actions, access personal context across device data with permission, and complete multi-step tasks. The new Siri can, for example, summarise an email, draft a reply, and schedule a meeting mentioned in the thread — all in a single voice command.
